Chris Dillon Named New Leader of Holland & Knight in Atlanta
ATLANTA (June 1, 2026) – Holland & Knight has named highly experienced Financial Services attorney Chris Dillon executive partner of the Firm's Atlanta office. Mr. Dillon will oversee day-to-day management of the office while continuing to manage his practice, in which he represents lenders and borrowers in a wide variety of domestic and international commercial finance transactions. He succeeds Woody Vaughan, who served as the executive partner of the Firm's Atlanta office since 2020 and will continue to serve as co-practice group leader for the Specialty Finance and Regulatory Practice Group.
Mr. Dillon has been with Holland & Knight for nearly a decade. He is a member of the Firm's Financial Services Team and serves as co‑leader of the Asset‑Based Lending Team. Mr. Dillon has negotiated and documented numerous secured and unsecured credit facilities, including syndicated and single bank loans, asset-based loans, cash-flow loans, real estate loans, domestic and international financings, multicurrency loans, acquisition finance transactions, recapitalizations and working capital facilities. Many of the deals on which he advises involve multiple tranches of debt and complex intercreditor arrangements. In addition, Mr. Dillon represents clients in workouts and restructurings of troubled credits.
"Chris is a well-respected lawyer and leader whose deep experience in complex finance matters and strong relationships within the Atlanta legal and business communities make him exceptionally well‑suited to serve as executive partner," said Holland & Knight Chair and Chief Executive Officer Bob Grammig. "He brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to leadership, and we are confident he will continue to strengthen our vibrant Atlanta office. We also thank Woody for his dedicated service and leadership over the past several years."
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Dillon is deeply committed to professional leadership and community engagement. He is actively involved with several organizations, including the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, Secured Finance Network's Atlanta Chapter and Association for Corporate Growth. In addition, Mr. Dillon is committed to giving back to the broader community through his involvement as a board member with the Atlanta Area Council of Scouting America.
"I am honored to step into this leadership role and grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting the outstanding work of our Atlanta office," Mr. Dillon said. "Atlanta is a dynamic and growing market, and I look forward to working closely with my colleagues to build on our strong foundation, support our clients and further strengthen the Firm's presence in the region."
