Holland & Knight Advises Banco Santander Mexico on $210 Million Syndicated Financing to Grupo GUMA

MEXICO CITY (September 3, 2026) – Holland & Knight advised Banco Santander Mexico S.A., as lender and secured party, in connection with a syndicated loan with an aggregate principal amount of MXN$3.9 billion (approximately US$210 million) to Grupo GUMA, one of Mexico's leading industrial and manufacturing groups. The transaction closed on August 12.

The transaction involved the structuring, negotiation and implementation of the Mexican law-governed credit and collateral package supporting the financing. The syndicate of lenders included BBVA Mexico, Banamex and HSBC Mexico.
