Overview

Norberto Avila Sanchez is a tax attorney in Holland & Knight's Mexico City office. Mr. Avila focuses on domestic and international tax law, advising corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals on complex tax planning, compliance and cross-border transactions.

In addition, Mr. Avila has an extensive background in structuring investments, handling multinational tax matters and providing international estate and succession planning. He delivers strategic tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, corporate reorganizations and cross-border restructuring, helping clients achieve tax-efficient solutions and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Avila worked as a teaching assistant at Georgetown University Law Center and previously worked as a senior tax consultant for a law firm in Mexico City. He is committed to helping clients navigate the evolving landscape of global tax laws and deliver smart, customized tax strategies aligned with each client's personal and business objectives. He has been a professor at Universidad Panamericana and Universidad Marista de Merida, where he has taught various international tax courses at the postgraduate level.
