Lauren R. Becker is a Dallas litigation attorney who focuses her practice on a range of matters in the labor and employment, complex business and hospitality arenas.
Ms. Becker is well versed in litigating various tort, commercial and corporate litigation actions in federal and state courts, as well as in arbitrations. She has represented businesses in multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters, Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act claims, breach of contract suits, employment discrimination claims, trade secret and restrictive covenant disputes, and other complex litigation. Ms. Becker represents individuals, national and international business clients, pharmaceutical manufacturers and commercial landlords.
Ms. Becker also works closely with employers in a range of industries to provide ongoing labor and employment counseling. She regularly advises clients on a number of employment issues, including evaluating and resolving employee complaints and workplace conflicts, as well as working with clients to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws. Ms. Becker's labor and employment practice also extends to corporate services, where she supports the employment law aspects of corporate transactions at all stages of the acquisition and sale process.
During law school, Ms. Becker clerked at the Office of Solicitor General for the Texas Attorney General. Ms. Becker also served as co-president of the Baylor Women's Legal Society and spent two years coaching the student client counseling team.
Prior to law school, Ms. Becker worked for a family law litigation firm and the Texas Legislative Council.
