Overview

Benjamin Bottehsazan is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Century City office. Mr. Bottehsazan's practice focuses on complex commercial real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, operation and leasing of various asset types such as office buildings, multifamily residential, shopping centers and industrial properties.

Mr. Bottehsazan also represents borrowers and lenders in mortgage, mezzanine and construction financings, as well as preferred equity transactions.

Additionally, Mr. Bottehsazan's practice includes drafting and negotiating joint venture agreements, property management agreements and reciprocal easement agreements.

  • Represented a commercial real estate investment firm on the sale of a $550 million multi-property portfolio across five states
  • Represented a real estate investment client in connection with the acquisition and disposition of various shopping center properties located throughout the United States, including the acquisition of a shopping center in California valued at more than $100 million
  • Represented a life insurance company on mortgage and construction loans of various sizes secured by multifamily, storage and other property types
  • Representation of a real estate investment firm in connection with the acquisition of a 435-unit multifamily apartment community located in Lawrence, Massachusetts, for $121.75 million
  • Representation of a U.S.-based investment firm with a niche focus on acquiring Class B and Class C multifamily assets in connection with the acquisition of a two-property apartment portfolio in Charlotte, North Carolina, out of foreclosure
  • Representation of a joint venture subsidiary in the $30.9 million recapitalization sale of a 199-unit student housing property in San Marcos, Texas
  • Represented a manufacturer in connection with the lease of a 30,000-square-foot industrial warehouse
  • Representation of a clothing retailer in connection with the negotiation of a lease of a retail building located in the Melrose district of Los Angeles
  • Representation of a major global investment management firm in connection with the formation of a tri-party joint venture agreement and the corresponding acquisition of a 378-unit apartment building
