Nicolás Carrero

Nicolás Carrero is a tax attorney in Holland & Knight's Bogotá office. Mr. Carrero focuses his practice on comprehensive tax advisory services to national and international organizations. With a deep understanding of domestic and international tax planning structures and regulations, he advises clients on foreign trade regulations, helps them ensure compliance and assists with optimizing tax strategies for clients across various industries.

Mr. Carrero has experience guiding corporations and individuals through the complexities of local and international transactions and daily operations. His practice emphasis is on planning and structuring strategies to mitigate the risks of double taxation, while helping to ensure efficient tax outcomes by organizing national and international business operations from tax and commercial perspectives.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight in his current role, Mr. Carrero was a law clerk in the firm's Bogotá office. In addition, Mr. Carrero previously worked as a law clerk for a local firm that specialized in tax, accounting and commercial matters. In this role, he provided support in tax planning and foreign investments in Colombia.
