Overview

Jeffrey D. Haas is a partner in Holland & Knight's Washington, D.C., office. Mr. Haas has an extensive transactional business practice, in which he advises clients on public and private financings and securities issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and sophisticated bank regulatory issues before federal and state regulatory agencies.

Mr. Haas represents financial services companies, including banks, savings institutions, and mortgage and specialty finance companies as well as private equity and hedge funds. His representations focus on initial and secondary public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities, including offerings of common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, convertible debt and equity securities, warrants and hybrid instruments.

In addition, Mr. Haas provides counseling and assistance on acquisitions, mergers, asset sales, leveraged and management buyouts, and other corporate reorganizations. He also advises clients on anti-takeover and tender offer defenses, and regulatory and compliance matters as well as corporate, securities, and tax matters.
