Overview
Melissa Jones is a finance and restructuring attorney in Holland & Knight's Nashville office who represents a wide range of lenders and borrowers in structuring and restructuring commercial finance transactions. Ms. Jones assists clients with negotiating and documenting secured and unsecured credit facilities, including asset-based loans, acquisition financing, capital expenditure funding, syndicated and single bank loans, real estate lending and sponsor financing. She has particular experience in healthcare financings involving hospitals and health systems, behavioral health, senior living, skilled nursing facilities and other post-acute care providers.
In addition, Ms. Jones delivers practical, forward-looking guidance to debtors, secured creditors, purchasers, indenture trustees and other parties in debt restructurings, financial instrument enforcement, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing and Section 363 sales. With deep experience across in-court and out-of-court workouts, receiverships and other distressed financings, Ms. Jones helps clients navigate complex corporate restructurings and insolvency matters.
Ms. Jones also has substantial experience representing indenture trustees in the enforcement of their rights and remedies in connection with defaulted bonds and troubled credit facilities. She has negotiated complex financing transactions involving state and local governmental entities, including the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt bonds.
