Overview
Brandon L. Lewis is a privacy and cybersecurity attorney in Holland & Knight's Atlanta office and a member of the firm's Data Strategy, Security & Privacy Team. Mr. Lewis focuses his practice on cyber and data risk management and governance, breach preparedness and response, global data privacy compliance and privacy litigation.
Mr. Lewis works alongside companies of all sizes on privacy and security matters spanning the areas of technology, manufacturing, education, healthcare and hospitality. He assists companies on the implementation of solutions to address their cybersecurity and privacy risks, including guidance on website and mobile application policies; data collection, storage and usage; and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Lewis taught middle school social studies in Houston. Mr. Lewis later joined a nationally renowned D.C. education think tank, where he sharpened his education policy and research skills by publishing reports on a range of issues confronting the nation's public schools.
While in law school, Mr. Lewis built on his passion for serving children and families by serving low-income families in Harvard's Child Advocacy Clinic and representing those families in school discipline cases. Additionally, he served low-income clients through Harvard's Legal Services Clinic, where he represented clients in cases related to predatory lending and debt collection defense.
