Overview

Taylor P. Monnig is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Atlanta and Nashville offices, where she focuses her practice on the acquisition, disposition, leasing and development of commercial real estate.

Ms. Monnig represents sellers, purchasers, landlords, private and institutional investors, managers, tenants, developers and owners in commercial real estate matters throughout the U.S. across numerous industries, including automobile, agricultural, food services and hospitality, as well as office, retail and mixed-use leasing. Her experience encompasses drafting, reviewing and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and lease documentation, comprehensive real estate diligence (including the review and resolution of complex title, survey and zoning matters) and closing management.

In addition, Ms. Monnig represents lenders and borrowers in the financing of commercial real estate, including bridge, construction and permanent loans, lines of credit and refinancings across a wide spectrum of asset types such as automobile dealerships, multifamily housing properties, agricultural equipment, long-term care and senior housing facilities, office and retail buildings and hotels.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. Monnig gained valuable experience with a large national law firm, where she was a member of its real estate and finance practice group.

Representative Experience

  • Represented organicgirl in the stock purchase transaction of Dole's Fresh Vegetables and merger with Braga Fresh Companies, including the assumption of agricultural lease agreements and the acquisition of vacant land and related warehouse facilities
  • Represented the purchaser in numerous acquisitions of land for agricultural equipment and automobile dealerships
  • Represented the tenant/purchaser in the acquisition of numerous paving marking companies, including the assignment and negotiation of lease agreements
  • Represented the seller in the sale of Midwestern Auto Group to the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family, including the disposition of 14 luxury automobile brand dealerships
  • Represented the tenant/purchaser in the acquisition of the largest franchisee in a fast-food chain, including the assumption of approximately 120 restaurants
  • Represented the purchaser in the acquisition of nine agricultural equipment and automobile dealerships
  • Represented the tenant in the drafting and negotiation of lease agreements for multiple retail centers and manufacturing warehouses
  • Represented the tenant in the drafting and negotiation of ground lease agreements for numerous telecommunications towers across the Southeast
