Overview
Erin O'Gurek is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Philadelphia office who focuses her practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions (M&A), private equity transactions and other complex corporate matters.
Ms. O'Gurek advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, strategic buyers and sellers, public companies and other investors in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, majority and minority investments, joint ventures, co-investments and strategic partnerships. She guides clients through all stages of a transaction, including structuring and negotiating transaction documents, conducting legal due diligence, evaluating legal risks and obligations and coordinating multidisciplinary deal teams.
Ms. O'Gurek also counsels clients on corporate governance matters, post-closing integration and collaboration with financial, regulatory and other third-party advisors. Her transactional experience spans a broad range of industries, including healthcare, technology, energy, financial services, consumer products, sports and entertainment.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Ms. O'Gurek practiced in the corporate and business transactions groups of two international law firms. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Timothy R. Rice and the Honorable Juan R. Sánchez, both of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Before beginning her legal career, Ms. O'Gurek worked as a registered nurse in pediatric, neuroscience and perioperative care settings. Her healthcare background provides her with practical insight into the operational considerations affecting healthcare organizations and companies operating in the medical device, pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.
