Overview
Daniel Romero is a corporate attorney in Holland & Knight's Monterrey office. Mr. Romero focuses his practice on matters related to real estate, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and general commercial agreements.
Mr. Romero has experience advising foreign and Mexican companies in real estate transactions, representing developers, sellers, buyers and tenants on commercial and industrial leases, as well as the acquisition or selling of real estate. He has also been involved in the design of the legal structure and financing of commercial and industrial real estate developments such as industrial parks and mixed-use real estate.
In addition, Mr. Romero advises sellers and buyers in various M&A transactions, including deals executed between private and public companies, both foreign and Mexican.
Mr. Romero has extensive experience representing clients in corporate matters, from the incorporation of companies, drafting of commercial agreements and corporate governance, to the day-to-day operations of companies in different industries.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Romero worked at a leading regional law firm in Monterrey.
Representative Experience
- Advised a leading Mexican real estate development company in numerous mixed-use real estate development transactions, including apartment buildings, retail spaces, offices, shopping centers and restaurants
- Advised a leading industrial real estate developer in the Bajío region through the structuring of trusts, executing joint venture agreements, drafting of different types of lease agreements and counseling on the sale of land and industrial facilities
- Advised on numerous real estate transactions, representing developers, sellers, buyers and/or tenants, by structuring trusts, joint ventures, lease agreements, purchase agreements, as well as development and construction agreements
- Advised on a joint venture between a publicly traded U.S. company and a Mexican company for the construction and lease of an industrial real estate facility in Coahuila and the manufacture of railroad cars
- Advised sellers on a sale of their shares in a leading Mexican logistics company
- Advised a family business on the division of its assets among its members and the restructuring of its business group
- Advised in diverse corporate restructurings of companies in different industries
