Jonathan Alexander Sanchez

Jonathan Sánchez is a litigation and dispute resolution attorney in Holland & Knight's Bogotá office. Mr. Sánchez focuses on civil, commercial, administrative and environmental matters, with special emphasis on highly complex technical and regulatory disputes involving the public and private sectors.

With more than 15 years of professional experience, Mr. Sánchez has represented clients before the highest judicial establishments in Colombia, including the Council of State, Supreme Court of Justice and Constitutional Court, as well as before administrative authorities at the national and regional level. He has experience in the preparation, presentation and defense of lawsuits, defenses and appeals, as well as the development of legal concepts, memoranda and procedural strategies in matters such as public law, private law, constitutional law and collective actions.

Mr. Sánchez has advised companies in regulated sectors such as coal, electricity, oil and real estate in the prevention, management and defense of judicial and extrajudicial conflicts, and he also has extensive experience in executive, contentious-administrative, sanctioning, urban planning and procedures before police authorities. Likewise, he has participated in legal and environmental due diligence processes, evaluating regulatory, contractual and property occupation risks for operations of high strategic value.

In addition, Mr. Sánchez has extensive experience in the strategic management of complex matters, aimed at risk mitigation and the technical defense of the interests of his clients. He has coordinated projects that require interaction with technical, financial and accounting teams, facilitating informed decision-making in demanding and high-impact regulatory environments.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Sanchez worked for a Bogotá law firm in the litigation and dispute resolution practice area.
