Sam Schaffer

Sam Schaffer is a corporate, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and securities attorney in Holland & Knight's Miami office and a member of the Legal Services Transactions Team. Mr. Schaffer focuses his practice on legal services transactions, including private equity investments involving law firms, management services organization (MSO) structuring, alternative business structures (ABS) and other strategic transactions in the legal services industry.

Additionally, Mr. Schaffer represents private equity sponsors, institutional investors and portfolio companies in complex M&A transactions, including leveraged buyouts, platform acquisitions, add-on acquisitions, auction processes, corporate divestitures, restructurings, distressed M&A, joint ventures and public company mergers.

Mr. Schaffer's transactional experience spans a range of industries, including aerospace and aviation, defense, healthcare and life sciences, energy and infrastructure, technology, logistics and transportation, pharmaceuticals and financial services. He has advised on transactions across the enterprise value spectrum from middle market to more than $16 billion.

Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Schaffer practiced in private equity and M&A groups at major law firms in Miami and New York.
