Orlando Segura Jr. is an Austin litigation attorney who represents clients in complex commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters with a focus on international disputes. Mr. Segura's experience includes counseling U.S. clients in disputes pending in international courts, as well as representing international clients in U.S. proceedings. He has represented clients in parallel proceedings that involved appellate and constitutional court proceedings in Latin America, multicountry recognition and enforcement actions, investor/state arbitrations and U.S. federal litigation. Mr. Segura also handles domestic commercial, real estate, banking and administrative disputes in both state and federal courts.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Segura also advises clients on a variety of international trade compliance and enforcement matters, including internal investigations, voluntary disclosures, and government licensing and registrations. He has counseled clients on issues relating to export controls under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions and compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Segura worked as a consultant with McKinsey and Co., where he counseled companies and governments on a variety of strategic matters in the U.S., Latin America and Europe. In addition, he worked as a senior financial analyst with a private equity firm in Boston.
