Join Holland & Knight attorneys in our San Francisco office as Partners Allison Martin Rhodes and Charles Coleman, along with Associate Daniel Kappes, host an enlightening CLE presentation on the upcoming California ethics rules changes.

In November, California will transition its ethics rules to the American Bar Association (ABA) Model Rules structure. This program will provide an overview of the ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct and highlight where those rules are materially different than the old California Rules of Professional Conduct (CRPCs). Using real-life examples of ethical dilemmas, this program will provide attendees with a practical application of the rules that govern and important advice on managing the tricky ones.

The program will review:

  • new California rules that say the same thing as the old CRPCs but use different words
  • key rules that are a real change in California lawyers' practice
  • rules where other state variations are significant and worthy of attention

Continuing Legal Education
