Dude, I Inherited a Pot Farm, Man! Considerations for Marijuana-Related Business for T&E Lawyers

Private Wealth Services attorneys Robert Barton and Stacie Nelson will participate in Sacramento County Bar Association Probate and Estate Planning Law Section's webinar about marijuana-related business regulations relevant to trusts and estates lawyers. Mr. Barton and Ms. Polashuk will examine federal and California laws regulating these businesses and describe the procedure for transferring a decedent's interest in a marijuana-related business to a personal representative. They will also identify some of the common risks a marijuana business will pose to a personal representative, trustee or other successor in interest.
