West Coast Land Use and Environment attorney Daniel Golub will join the Bay Area Council and Lighthouse Public Affairs for a discussion titled, "Builder's Remedy and New Development Laws in 2023." The first half of this session will cover the Builder's Remedy, a law that allows a developer to bypass local zoning regulations in local governments that do not have a compliant housing element, so long as the development is 20 percent affordable to low-income people or 100 percent affordable to moderate income people. During the second hour of the event, Mr. Golub will provide an overview of new housing laws that will become effective in 2023 and explain how to use them.
