The Legal 500 Diversity and Inclusion Forum Colombia 2022

Holland & Knight will sponsor and participate in a Legal 500 event focused on investigating issues and developments in diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in Colombia. The forum will consist of two panels that will provide practical and forward-looking insights from leading in-house counsel from across Colombia. Following the discussion, a cocktail reception will give attendees an opportunity for networking with colleagues and fellow counsel.

Panel 1: DE&I Beyond Corporate Policies

In today's world, diversity and inclusion policies are part of the minimum standards of corporate social responsibility. Increasingly, organizations are publicizing their policies and highlighting their achievements in meeting diversity and inclusion goals. During this panel, speakers will share stories of companies that have successfully committed to their DEI programs, barriers they may have faced and the social and organizational benefits achieved. Topics will include:

• Three models of Diversity and Inclusion: Disability, Gender and Sexual Orientation, Opportunities for all
• Diversity for Colombia, post-conflict, post-penalty and Los Ninis
• Barriers and opportunities

Panel 2: Gender, Equity and Prosperity

Although women's rights have been materially recognized in recent decades, significant inequalities remain in areas that have not been explored or are still latent. Gender conception remains an implicit bias and is often unrecognized in the workplace. This panel will discuss some gender-specific elements and disparities that are still present today as well as ways to further close these gaps. Some of the issues addressed will encompass:

• Wage gaps
• Care economy and gender pay
• Right to time
• Policymaking and women's representation
