Powers of Attorney – Myths, Management and Litigation

Trusts and estates attorneys Stacie Nelson and Vivian Thoreen will lead a webinar for the Alameda County Bar Association reviewing the scope of authority granted by financial powers of attorney (POA). Ms. Nelson and Ms. Thoreen will cover the rights, duties and obligations established by a POA, including the rights of third parties relying on it. They will also outline strategies for drafting provisions to meet clients' needs, comply with statutory governance schemes and avoid or mitigate litigation risks.
