Holland & Knight Chair and CEO Robert Grammig and Financial Services Partner Norberto Quintana will speak at the International Economic Forum of the Americas' (IEFA) 14th Edition World Strategic Forum in Coral Gables, Florida. The annual international conference brings together decision-makers from business, government and civil society to address the challenges shaping the future of the global economy. Holland & Knight will sponsor the forum, and Mr. Grammig and Mr. Quintana will participate in panels taking place on the first day of the event.
Mr. Grammig's session will explore the realignment of the global trading system. From rising geopolitical tensions and the pandemic to a new era of strategic industrial policy and tariff regimes, international supply chains have seen enormous change throughout the past decade. During this discussion, speakers will identify the industries at the heart of reshoring efforts and explain how these shifts have redefined the geography of investment. They will also highlight emerging disruptions that pose the greatest threats to international trade.
Mr. Quintana's presentation will focus on the next-generation infrastructure that is needed to respond to shifting global trade routes and expanding urban populations. Speakers will examine how ports, airports and logistics networks are integrating innovation, digitalization, automation and sustainability into their infrastructure strategies, including the role of long-term capital from institutions and private investment in modernizing infrastructure at scale. The conversation will additionally look at how to manage risk to unlock workflow and how to adapt systems to be more efficient and prosperous in the long term.
