International Trade attorney Andrew McAllister will participate in an executive roundtable co-hosted by 47G and Holland & Knight. During the program, senior leaders from Utah's defense sector will gather for a candid discussion about the threats shaping the state's defense industrial base. Panelists will examine how foreign adversaries, particularly China, Russia and Iran, are targeting Utah's defense companies through intellectual property theft, talent recruitment, supply chain infiltration and cyber intrusion, as well as the legal, operational and strategic steps organizations should take in response. Discussion topics will include the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), export controls and foreign ownership, control or influence (FOCI) requirements, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and foreign investment red flags, insider threat and vendor vetting practices, and the current administration's policy direction for defense contractors. The session, conducted under Chatham House rules, will give participants practical guidance on protecting their businesses in an increasingly complex national security environment.
