University Export Controls Seminar

Litigation attorney Megan Mocho will serve as an instructor during an export controls seminar for universities and research institutions hosted by the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI). The three-day training will dive into the ins and outs of U.S. export control regimes, from the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations and sanctions. Speakers will detail how these rules affect higher education, research organizations and the companies that partner with them, as well as review recent and forthcoming changes that could necessitate procedural updates for affected entities. Attendees of all levels – novice practitioners, veteran compliance officers, seasoned export control managers and contract administrators, and private company sponsors, to name a few – will benefit from a comprehensive curriculum tailored to the special issues encountered in this sector.
