Labor and employment attorney Camilo Cuervo was interviewed alongside Scola Abogados attorney Nicolás Yemail by Cristian Moreno of La República about the main changes brought by Colombia's labor reform. Mr. Cuervo discussed the shift of the night work schedule to start at 7 p.m., phased increase of Sunday and holiday surcharges, reconsideration of schedules such as the 6x6, adjustments to apprenticeship contracts (term, minimum stipend and full social security enrollment) and recognition of an intermediate category for delivery app workers. He additionally clarified that the reform does not mandate automatic salary adjustments.
