OFAC Guidance for Fuel Exports to Cuba's Private Sector

International and Cross-Border Transactions attorney Aymee Valdivia was interviewed by Telemundo 51 Miami about recent U.S. sanctions and export guidance affecting Cuba, with a focus on fuel and petroleum derivatives. She explained that U.S. regulations have not substantively changed, but that the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and U.S. Department of Commerce clarified exports can proceed to Cuba's private sector without a new, transaction-specific license document.
