Your Taxes: US Expat Relief
In an article for The Jerusalem Post, Attorney Kevin Packman writes about the income tax obligations that American immigrants are responsible for until they renounce U.S. citizenship, and the substantial exit tax that expatriating can generate. Last month, the IRS introduced Expat Relief which relieves certain groups of people from paying the tax, interest, penalties and the exit tax when renouncing their citizenship.
