Taxation Partners Kevin Packman and Andrew Weinstein co-authored an article on procedural issues for claiming tax refunds that was published in Steve Leimberg's Income Tax Planning Newsletter. In their article, the authors describe issues related to the timing of refund claims as well as the options available to taxpayers if the IRS denies a refund. Specifically, they cover litigation, statutory mitigation and equitable relief.
