Modification of Prior Consultation Agreements

Environment attorney María Camila Aponte wrote a column for Asuntos Legales highlighting the modifications to prior consultation agreements (APC) in Colombia. The country's National Government is in the process of regulating the right to prior consultation. However, Ms. Aponte suggests that it does not clearly indicate when these modifications would be mandatory, nor does it advise on what processes to follow in the case of implementing the changes.
