The 5G Mirage

Technology & Telecommunications attorney Luis Rubio published an article in Mexico Business News discussing the possibility of implementing fifth generation (5G) networks in Mexico. Mr. Rubio previously wrote articles explaining how mobile networks function, what factors are essential to deploying them and what infrastructure is needed to ensure they work effectively. In this article, Mr. Rubio shares why he does not believe a rapid deployment of the networks and equipment necessary to improve existing telecommunications networks and offer 5G to customers will happen anytime soon. He cites factors such as the cost of using radio frequencies and response from the government in presenting his argument.
