Changes in Colombian Tax Legislation, New Challenges and Adaption to New Technologies and Information Crossing

Tax attorneys Rafael Lafont and Juan Pablo Díaz published an article in AmCham Colombia's Business Mail magazine analyzing changes in Colombian tax legislation and the importance of having experienced tax advisers. The authors describe various modifications to fiscal regulations that affect not only national taxes, such as income tax, but also territorial tax systems. They also address international bilateral agreements and standards that legal advisers should keep in mind. Above all, they emphasize that companies need to find tax consultants that have international experience, in addition to staying updated with respect to local legislation.
