New LLC Law More User Friendly, Attractive to Foreign Business

The Revised Florida LLC Act is the first complete revision of the state's law regarding limited liabilities in 30 years. The bill is designed to make the law more user friendly and make the state more business friendly to foreign entities. Corporate Partner Louis Conti said that many businesses that enter the U.S. come through Florida.
"The new act allows foreign entities to domesticate their businesses in Florida using the Florida LLC," Mr. Conti said. "Now they can directly domesticate as a Florida LLC. More sophisticated businesses will feel more comfortable using Florida's LLC."
