Trump’s Impatience Emerging as Biggest Threat to NAFTA Agreement
Senior Counsel Carlos Véjar shares his predictions on how President Trump will proceed with the NAFTA Agreement and what that will mean for trade in the future.
‘‘If Trump expects to have a negotiation completed by the end of year or he’ll withdraw from NAFTA, I would put my money on withdrawal,’’ said Mr. Véjar. ‘‘Looking from past experiences of other treaties, I’ve never seen a negotiation that took less than a couple of years.’’
