In recent years, international firms like Holland & Knight have created alliances with or absorbed specialty boutique firms, marking a trend of internationalization.
Partner Enrique Gómez-Pinzón commented on this trend, saying, "It has been a challenge that we assume and in an orderly, patient and constant way." Mr. Gómez-Pinzón explained, "international firms have allowed the legal sector to specialize." Since Holland & Knight entered the Bogota market, it has increased from three to 12 practices.
