The Pandemic Accelerated the Tendency to Dismantle the Charge for Billable Hours in Firms

Bogotá Executive Partner Enrique Gómez-Pinzón was interviewed by Asuntos Legales for an article describing how the pandemic has affected law firms in Colombia. Mr. Gómez-Pinzón explained that several firms have sought to offer clients as much flexibility as possible in all aspects, including economic ones.

"Several clients have asked for more time to pay bills and others have requested to renegotiate the payment conditions that were offered for the legal services rendered," he explained. "We accept the new payment conditions for some of our clients who were highly affected by the pandemic, such as longer payment terms, for example, or changes in the billing conditions of our work, in order to give them a hand during the situation."
