6 Big Trade Predictions for 2023

POLITICO

International Trade attorney Francisco Sánchez was quoted in a POLITICO article about the growing trade tensions between the United States and China. The current mode of trade between these two countries is enforcement-focused for the activities such as forced labor, circumvention of anti-dumping and countervailing duties. Mr. Sánchez stated that the relationship between the U.S. and China has reached a boiling point where aggressive stances are needed to continue productive trade relations.

"There's a frustration with the way that China has managed its trade relationship with the United States and that frustration has been festering dating back to when I was in office nine years ago. It's just reached a boiling point where we are destined to have a more aggressive posture for the foreseeable future,” he said.
