Real Estate attorney Esteban García was interviewed for an Asuntos Legales article about what the owners of a condominium property in Colombia should know about the co-owners' assembly of the complex or building. During this assembly, owners carry out a review of the general panorama of the complex, specifically on economic and financial issues. Also, the budget approval is made for the administrative expenses and investments of the horizontal property. Mr. García commented on the regulations that determine the attendance and duration of the assembly.
"You must verify who are the people who must attend the assembly by a specific private unit. In the event that they are co-owners, they both must attend or one must empower the other to represent he or she," he said.
