Dealmakers of the Year: Roberto Pupo, Holland & Knight

Partner Roberto Pupo, who co-chairs Holland & Knight's South Florida Corporate practice, was featured in a Q&A with the Daily Business Review as part of its series honoring finalists for the 2024 Florida Legal Awards. Mr. Pupo was named an honoree in the Dealmakers of the Year category, and in his interview, he highlighted his healthcare team's success in closing a large number of important transactions, particularly in the managed care sector, despite a challenging year overall. He also noted that the practice of law rewards practitioners who are relevant to their communities, are active and involved, and seek to have a positive impact on those around them.

"It is imperative to know your clients well, and to learn about their businesses and operations. You cannot be an effective lawyer if you don’t know your client," he said.
