City Rezones 105 Acres for Thousands of Homes
Real Estate attorney Alejandro Arias was quoted in the South Florida Business Journal's coverage of the Sweetwater City Commission's approval of the Flagler City Center District, a 105-acre mixed-use development consisting of up to 6,000 residential units. Mr. Arias advised developer CREI Holdings on obtaining the rezoning necessary to move forward with the project, which will also include workforce and affordable housing, retail and office space, and medical facilities. Calling the development "transformative," Mr. Arias expressed his gratitude that commissioners carefully weighed the benefits of the new district in ultimately clearing it for next steps.
