A Toolbox for Business

Real Estate attorney Janna Lhota was featured in a Lifestyle Magazine profile about her role as chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce and vision for the organization and local business community. Janna told the publication she chose "Connected for Impact" as her guiding theme to reflect the Chamber's role in reaching companies throughout Fort Lauderdale and Broward County and providing them with meaningful membership benefits. She listed healthcare programming, affordable housing efforts and a Rising Leaders initiative as examples of the range of ways in which the organization serves industries across the region, in addition to offering networking events and practical resources. With the Chamber undergoing a leadership transition following the retirement of President and CEO Dan Lindblade earlier this year, Janna emphasized a focus on giving value to business leaders and community members.

"You have to view the Chamber as a toolbox," she said. "What do you want to get out of it? Are you looking for new contacts for business? Are you looking for relationships? Are you looking to the Chamber for resources?"
