Holland & Knight Partner Named One of the "Women Who Mean Business" for 2013
Washington, D.C. (October 8, 2013) - Holland & Knight Partner Janis Schiff has been selected as one of the Washington Business Journal's "Women Who Mean Business for 2013." The award honors the area's most influential business women and positions Ms. Schiff as one of the elite in the Washington, D.C., business community.
Ms. Schiff represents property owners, asset managers and investors in all types of real estate investments, including foreign investments in the U.S. She serves as the firm's client service and development partner, working with members of senior management and clients to develop and implement client initiatives. She founded the firm's Rising Stars mentoring and leadership program and is the immediate past chair of Holland & Knight's Real Estate Section.
Earlier this year, Ms. Schiff was elected to a two-year term as chair of the board of directors for Easter Seals, Greater Washington-Baltimore Region. She has also been active in the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Urban Land Institute, the Washington, D.C. Economic Partnership and Commercial Real Estate Women, serving as past president for the suburban Maryland chapter.
