Holland & Knight Assists Bladex in New Securities Issuance

MEXICO CITY (April 27, 2016) – Holland & Knight represented Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, S.A. (Bladex) in a 1.5 billion pesos (US$86 million) issuance and offer of securities. The transaction closed on April 25.

Casa de Bolsa BBVA Bancomer and HSBC Casa de Bolsa acted as placement agents for the issuance. The offering is part of the MXN 10 billion program authorized by the Mexican authorities.

Bladex, a specialized multinational bank headquartered in Panama City, Panama, was established by the central banks of Latin American and Caribbean countries to promote trade finance in the region.

Bladex was represented by Holland & Knight Mexico City-based partner Alejandro Landa Thierry and associates Armando Figueroa Cardenas and Jorge Escalante Zollino.
