Holland & Knight Recognized by Airfinance Journal for Its Role in “North American Deal of the Year”
NEW YORK (April 18, 2016) – Holland & Knight has been recognized by Airfinance Journal for the firm’s work advising BBAM Aircraft Management in connection with a $1.2 billion deal involving the leasing of 49 aircraft to 37 airlines in 25 countries. The transaction, which was named “North American Deal of the Year” for 2015, is featured in Airfinance Journal’s April issue.
BBAM is a global leader in aircraft lease management, and the deal was the largest transaction in its history. The Holland & Knight team was led by partners Phillip Durham, Richard Furey, Nathan Leavitt and Audrey Sung.
“This was a very significant deal for BBAM and we are proud that they chose us to handle it,” said John Pritchard, global chair of Holland & Knight’s Structured Finance practice. “I congratulate the entire team for their outstanding work on behalf of one of our key clients. The ability to handle such a large-scale transaction speaks volumes about the quality of our practice and our people.”
The deal also was named “Debt Deal of the Year” for 2015 by Aviation Economics magazine as part of its annual Aviation 100 awards, which were presented earlier this year in Dublin, Ireland.
