Holland & Knight Advises Royce Carlton in Sale of a Majority Interest to ICM

NEW YORK (October 31, 2017) – Holland & Knight represented Royce Carlton, the leading New York-based independent speakers’ bureau, in its sale of a majority interest to ICM Partners, one of the world's largest talent and literary agencies with offices in New York, Los Angeles and London. The transaction closed on Oct. 27.

The move bolsters ICM Partners' speakers business substantially, by combining the breadth and depth of its client roster and long standing speakers division, with the agents, clients and expertise of the prestigious, almost 50 year-old Royce Carlton. The combined ICM Partners lectures group will operate as Royce Carlton from its current headquarters in Manhattan and ICM Partners headquarters in Los Angeles.

The transaction is considered to be a natural one since the two agencies have shared many prestigious clients over the years, including Thomas Friedman, Ken Auletta and Alan Alda. Royce Carlton has exclusively represented such sought after speakers as Mitch Albom, Fareed Zakaria, Anne-Marie Slaughter and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power. ICM Partners represents popular figures such as John Cena, Caroline Kennedy and the Duplass Brothers.

Holland & Knight Partner Lance Myers led the firm’s representation of Royce Carlton.
