Nonprofit and Tax Law Attorney Kelly Hellmuth Joins Holland & Knight in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (July 8, 2019) – Experienced nonprofit and tax law attorney Kelly Hellmuth has joined Holland & Knight as a senior counsel in Jacksonville. She is also a member of the firm's nationally recognized Private Wealth Services Group. Ms. Hellmuth was previously counsel with McGuireWoods.

Ms. Hellmuth advises clients on charitable and nonprofit issues. She represents public charities, private foundations, trustees of charitable trusts, religious institutions, trade associations and other tax-exempt organizations, in addition to donors. Her work also includes estate planning, probate administration, trust administration and charitable gift planning, including through the use of both traditional and innovative tax strategies.

Ms. Hellmuth is a member of the Tax Section of The Florida Bar and serves as co-chair of the Tax-Exempt Organizations subcommittee. Within the American Bar Association, she serves on the Exempt Organizations Committee of the Tax Section and the Charitable Planning and Organizations group of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section. She is a frequent author and speaker on a wide range of tax matters.

Ms. Hellmuth earned a J.D. degree from the University of Virginia and an S.B. degree in chemical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is admitted to practice law in California, District of Columbia, Florida and Virginia.
