Holland & Knight Advises on Hometown Food Company’s Purchase of Arrowhead Mills® and SunSpire® Brands

STAMFORD, Conn. (October 7, 2019) – Holland & Knight advised Hometown Food Company, a wholly-owned portfolio company of Brynwood Partners VII L.P. and Brynwood Partners VIII L.P., in its $15 million acquisition of the Arrowhead Mills and SunSpire brands from The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. The transaction includes a manufacturing facility in Hereford, Texas, and its employees. The deal was announced on October 8.

Greenwich, Conn.-based Brynwood Partners is an operationally-focused private equity firm that makes control investments in North American-based lower middle market companies. Brynwood Partners formed Hometown Food Company in June 2018 to acquire a portfolio of brands from the J.M. Smucker Company. Holland & Knight also advised Brynwood on that $375 million transaction.
