Holland & Knight Expands West Coast Real Estate Practice with Addition of Alexis Alonzo
LOS ANGELES (October 21, 2020) – Holland & Knight has added Alexis Alonzo as a partner in its West Coast Real Estate Practice Group residing in the firm's Los Angeles office. Ms. Alonzo's practice focuses on complex real estate transactions, including representing institutional investors, real estate funds, opportunity funds and public and private homebuilders in real estate joint ventures, as well as the acquisition, disposition and financing of all classes of commercial real estate. She previously practiced at Pircher, Nichols & Meeks LLP.
Ms. Alonzo has represented borrowers and lenders in a number of mortgage and mezzanine financing transactions, including construction loans and revolving line of credit facilities. She also represents some of the country's preeminent land bankers in their acquisition, financing and sales of residential housing lots, as well as homebuilders and residential lot developers in both the acquisition and the sale of neighborhoods and lots located within residential communities throughout the United States. Her practice includes negotiating and drafting joint venture agreements, development management agreements and property management agreements for various types of assets.

Ms. Alonzo has been recognized as a Southern California "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers every year since 2014 and received the Los Angeles County Bar Association "Outstanding Young Lawyer" award in 2013. She earned a J.D. degree from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and a B.A. degree from San Francisco State University.
