Shaina Kamen Named Fellow of American College of Trust and Estate Counsel

NEW YORK (April 4, 2022) – Shaina Kamen, a partner in Holland & Knight's New York and Miami offices and a member of the firm's Private Wealth Services Group, has been elected a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). Holland & Knight has more ACTEC fellows than any other law firm in the U.S.

ACTEC is a professional organization of approximately 2,400 lawyers who have demonstrated the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. Fellows are selected on the basis of experience, professional reputation and ability in the fields of trusts and estates, and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.

Ms. Kamen concentrates her practice on sophisticated trusts and estates matters for individuals and families. She advises clients on all aspects of estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning. She works with clients and family offices to create and administer estate and business succession plans consistent with family goals. In addition, Ms. Kamen advises clients on how to build their charitable legacies by developing and administering charitable giving programs through the use of entities such as private foundations and charitable trusts.
