Holland & Knight Grows Real Estate Section with Addition of Racy Haddad in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas (March 10, 2026) – Holland & Knight has bolstered its Real Estate Section in Texas with the addition of Racy Haddad as a partner in Austin. Ms. Haddad advises clients on sale agreements and closing and funding transactions, as well as routinely represents investors on the formation of corporate real estate entities, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, commercial financing and more. She was previously a partner with Husch Blackwell.

With more than 20 years of experience in real estate law, Ms. Haddad represents developers, builders, sellers and buyers in commercial and residential transactions of all sizes. Though the majority of her current practice focuses on sophisticated, large-scale residential and commercial transactions, she continues to work with individual property owners and homebuilders, and she is Board Certified in Real Estate Law – Residential by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

"Racy brings a well-established record of guiding clients through complex real estate transactions, land use matters and related litigation," said Joe Guay, leader of Holland & Knight's Real Estate Section. "Her ability to anticipate issues, navigate challenging deals and work seamlessly across transactional and regulatory matters strengthens our Real Estate practice across Texas."

Ms. Haddad handles all aspects of purchase and sale transactions, from drafting contracts and easements, bringing in investors, negotiating and amending agreements, reviewing and curing title issues, as well as resolving any challenges that arise before closing. In the course of her representation, she is called upon to form companies to hold real estate assets, draft corporate documents prior to closing and work with third parties relevant to 1031 exchange transactions. She also has a growing land use practice and regularly represents real estate property owners, developers and homebuilders before city councils, zoning boards and municipalities throughout Texas.

Holland & Knight has been ranked as a top-tier real estate firm in Texas for more than 20 years by the Chambers USA guide. The team is known for providing "high-quality representation to real estate lenders in complex financing transactions" and is "equally adept at handling property acquisitions, dispositions, developments and leasing transactions, including ground leases," according to Chambers.

"I am honored to join Holland & Knight and bring my transactional, land use and litigation background to the Firm's Real Estate practice," said Ms. Haddad. "My work has always involved guiding clients through every aspect of a matter, and I look forward to working with my new colleagues and supporting clients on matters that are central to their real estate goals."

Ms. Haddad received a J.D. degree from Texas Tech University School of Law and a B.A. degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
