Holland & Knight Expands Wealth & Tax Section with Addition of Elizabeth Garlovsky in Chicago

CHICAGO (June 8, 2026) – Holland & Knight has strengthened its Wealth & Tax Section with the addition of Partner Elizabeth "Lizzy" Garlovsky in Chicago. Ms. Garlovsky joins the Global Wealth and Family Office Practice Group and focuses her practice on estate planning and wealth transfer strategies for individuals and families. She was previously a partner with Harrison LLP.

"Lizzy is a highly respected trusts and estates lawyer with a national reputation and deep roots in Chicago," said David Scott Sloan, leader of Holland & Knight's Wealth & Tax Section. "Her experience advising ultra-high-net-worth clients across the full spectrum of estate planning, administration and fiduciary matters will significantly enhance our presence in the Chicago private wealth market."

Ms. Garlovsky brings more than 25 years of combined experience in private practice, the public sector and as a wealth advisor for J.P. Morgan. She focuses her practice on sophisticated wealth planning and also works closely with individual and corporate fiduciaries to counsel them in administering trusts and estates.

"Much of my career has been shaped by my involvement in the trusts and estates community and by working closely with clients and their advisors, and I was drawn to a firm that shares that level of engagement and commitment to the practice."

Ms. Garlovsky is an active member of the trusts and estates community, as well as her community at large. She is a Fellow of the national American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a member of its Fiduciary Litigation and Practice Committees, as well as the state membership recruitment director for Illinois. She also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Ms. Garlovsky also provides pro bono legal services and supports related organizations and activities. She performs estate planning and related legal services for underserved individuals in her community and acts as a resource to various charitable organizations.

Ms. Garlovsky received a J.D. degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a B.A. degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
