Overview
Scott W. MacCormack is a business attorney in Holland & Knight's New York office. Mr. MacCormack focuses his practice on business transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and finance.
Mr. MacCormack partners with his clients to identify creative funding and financing options to support their transactional goals. He has substantial experience representing clients in highly regulated industries, including energy, energy technology, infrastructure, maritime and aerospace, in their combinations and transactions.
Mr. MacCormack has represented several significant startups from formation through initial seed funding and several successful venture capital financing rounds in the energy, energy technology and clean technology sectors. Frequently, he acts as principal general counsel to his early-stage clients, providing support on general corporate matters, capital-raising transactions, corporate governance and general business strategy.
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. MacCormack was a partner at a U.S.-based law firm, where he previously served as managing partner.

- Represented a multistate community bank in a $65 million senior note offering
- Represented an Alaskan hydroelectric dam operator in a $65.7 million revenue bond refunding
- Represented the developer of small-scale hydroelectric projects in a $13.5 million term loan credit facility and private equity investment
- Counseled a client on a $95 million syndicated revolving credit facility for heavy equipment sales and leasing company with domestic and foreign operations
